What is really important in life?
How do I deal with loss and ill health?
What values do we hold in our society?
Why does God seem to allow suffering?

These are important questions we all find ourselves asking at some point, and many people have found the experience of the Covid-19 pandemic has given these questions a sharper focus. It can be helpful to have somewhere to share your thoughts and hear other people’s. At St John and St Stephen’s we value questioning and through our worship and small groups we try and support one another when there seem to be no easy answers.

Even if you aren’t sure what you believe, you’re welcome to ‘come and see’ on a Sunday morning. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone in church knows exactly what they believe; we are all exploring together. A mid-week discussion group “Fireside” was set up to help people with lots of questions to explore faith. Get in touch to register an interest.

From time to time, we are hoping to run Explorers courses, so get in touch if you’d like to join one or to talk through any issue to do with exploring faith. Feel free to phone a member of the ministry team on 0118 9263633 and leave a message.
