So there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles, between enslaved and free people, between men and women; you are all one in union with Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)
LGBTQ+
We aim to be a church that is fully welcoming of all, including those who are LGBTQ+. This is our intention, though we still have a lot to learn. We are conscious the Church has not always felt like a welcoming or safe place for LGBTQ people. If you are LGBTQ+ you are welcome here on your own terms and we encourage you to get involved. The Church of England is currently working on pastoral guidance for using prayers of blessing for same sex couples.
Ethnic diversity
Our parish is diverse culturally and socially and we are a Presence & Engagement Parish (where more than 30% of the population belong to a faith other than Christianity). We are seeking to become a more diverse congregation that more accurately reflects the ethnic diversity of the parish and are actively trying to be open to God’s leading on this.
